Respectful Workplace
Diversity: Embrace It And Win. Resist It And Struggle
Introducing Respectful Workplace - the key that unlocks the door to diversity success.
Let our experience be your edge
Since 1973, Edge Learning Institute has been setting the standard for helping our clients enhance their cultures and develop their human capital. Our leadership and personal development processes are used by the best companies in the world and have helped shape over four million successful leaders, managers and employees. We can help you, too.
Human capital
How strong is your company's balance sheet?
You've heard and seen it before. It's probably even written somewhere in your Mission Statement. "People are our company's most important asset." Sounds nice, but do your leaders, managers and employees really believe it? More importantly, do your business results show it?
The key to business success is your people
Whether your business is manufacturing, services, or healthcare, if you're not attracting, developing and retaining the best human capital, then your business results will be average at best. The same holds true for the success of your strategic initiatives. The best thought-out Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, merger, diversity, QS or customer service strategies will only succeed when capable and committed people are involved with their implementation.
Products and technology are important, but what sets the best performing companies in the world apart from their competitors are their people: dedicated, driven leaders at the top and employees who demonstrate personal excellence at every level within. Resilience, confidence and teamwork are their tools of trade. "Best in Class", "Award Winning" and "Supplier of Choice" are their calling cards. We help them get there.
Our Educational Processes
Increasing Human Effectiveness (IHE)
More than 6,500 organizations have experienced the benefits of adopting the IHE process.
IHE is Edge's employee development process used by top performing organizations such as Starbucks, Motorola, Lucent Technologies, Jack in the Box, CHRISTUS Health, Parker Hannifin, Engle Homes, and numerous government agencies.
IHE empowers people with "tools" to break through self-imposed limitations, resulting in greater productivity and a healthier bottom line.
Respect: The Source of Our Strength
Respect: The Source of Our Strength is one of the most powerful processes available for fostering long-term, positive behavior change in individuals across an organization. The seminar is unique in that it offers a new definition of respect, one rooted in the active pursuit of information about people who are different from the seeker. The underlying premise of this new definition is that the collection and sharing of information in and of itself demonstrates regard for the other party that is essential to respectful interaction. But a new understanding of respect is just the start.
Unlocking Your Potential
Unlocking Your Potential (UYP) was created by Edge Learning Institute in 1984. It’s roots are found in Founder Bob Moawad’s early experiences in “democratic coaching” as a high school basketball coach and teacher. The premise is simple; catch kids when they are young enough and it’s a lot easier to help them develop the right attitudes for success in life. In the years since UYP was created, thousands of students have been positively impacted by the principles and concepts.
